We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.
— Buddha

In the journey of life, your body and mind help your soul to make the journey possible. It may be a meaningful journey or in some cases it may be a meaningless journey a happy journey or an unhappy journey. But whatever it may be, it is a journey of life, with little intervals, between birth and death. The old body becomes dust and a new body will emerge from the same dust. Then there will be a reason for life to exist. You will be an eternal mystery. Your sleeping God is ready to awaken.

Everything that you see comes from unknown and invisible source – the body and the universe are from unmanifest source.

That is, transformation from unmanifestation to the manifestation, known as body. It is an expression from divinity and it is eternal dance of life.

The creation of divinity is the soul. The process of motion of divinity is the mind and the purpose of motion of divinity is the body.

The Brihadaranyaka Upanishad says :
You are what your deep, driving desire is.
As your desire is, so is your will.
As your will is, so is your deed,
As your deed is, so is your destiny.
It has already been discussed how your body does help you in your journey of life.
In this present article let us discuss how your body and mind help you in your journey of life, to make a successful journey of your soul.

The Rig Veda tells about these steps to make your life journey a successful journey :
1. The source of life is from the pure potentiality :

You are an expression from the Pure Potentiality, from an unmanifest to the manifest. Life gets power from that Pure unmanifest potentiality.

How to apply that Pure Potentiality to life to be successful.
Be in touch with that potentiality and feel its greatness always in mind. Your mind and body have the pure potentiality. It is upto you to make use of it for your life’s betterment. What energy is eternal, and can be generated endlessly in a big quantity and in good quality too – be alone, be silent, be a meditative, be in touch with nature and be natural.

2. The happiness of giving :
You are filled with another life. You were like a worthless piece of bamboo. God made you a flute. He made you suitable by making holes to give a beautiful music. He breathes into that piece of bamboo to create an eternal music.

Your life gets several gifts from the nature. These gifts may be material or non-material. Then the question comes that “What is your gift to the creation of God? God loves those who can gift something.

3. Performing good Karma :
All actions and intentions, you make, related to your life or meant for others are the essence of Karma. So do your Karma with full consciousness of good acts, attitude and intentions. You will be successful in life.

4. Making effort :
You have to accept your life responsibilities and make an effort sincerely that others accept you with love. Then you don’t find any problem because you are aware of your life purpose.

5. Your intentions and desires :
Your desires are the results of your intentions. So create good intentions, shaping your desires of reasonable nature.

6. Be detached from your outer world and be attached to your inner world :
You are in this world and you have something of yours. This world is needed for you to deal with your day to day life – the family, money, job, relationships etc. but this should not be the only target, but there is something of your own – your passion, objects, targets for higher life etc. Be of the opinion that this world is not yours, you yourself is not yours, but there is something for you. Be a Karma Yogi.

7. Your Dharma or purpose of life :
The best way is to know your role and do it with Dharma that is, your consciousness. Albert Einstein said “I want to know God’s thoughts – the rest are the details of my life”. The study of “Your inner man” is the law of success and self-mastery. It is good for “Cosmic journey”.

To attain success in life one has to follow the way of meditation. Meditation means, it is not only to sit with closed eyes. You can also meditate while working, while cooking, while studying and doing many more things. It is keeping concentration on the particular activity you are involved in.

Meditation is a science, an art, a knack without any contradictions. It belongs to the heart. It is not logic but it is close to love. It makes you more and more happy with yourself – remember it is with yourself.
