We are shaped by our thoughts; we become what we think. When the mind is pure, joy follows like a shadow that never leaves.

Believe in yourself. Believe in yourself even when no one believes you. Yes, you believe in yourself even when no one believes you, provided, if your belief is based on a ‘Do-good positive task’ which you would wish make it a goal to achieve. The achievement, of your positive belief has to create a stage of excellence. The achievement from your positive belief, must be such one, where you develop yourself, your education, your profession, your industry, your business, your creativity, your ability to tackle problems, and your positive belief is not only to be aimed for self-excellence but it is to be aimed for the good of every part of God’s creation.

Your positive belief must show the way to others also, where they can make their lives ‘lives of excellence’. Your positive belief is not only to make you to possess and own, but to love and give.

Terry fox was a normal boy, but later he met with an accident. He ignored his knee pain which developed into a cancer. His right leg was amputated. He suffered several months. He was fitted with an artificial top to bottom leg.

Then he started believing in himself, when the whole family and friends were of the opinion that he was a disabled young man. He started believing in himself that he was not a disabled man, but the man of distinction. He started loving himself and the humanity. He was from illness to wellness. He undertook a “Marathon Hope” race and ran 5373 km in 143 days across Canada and raised about 1.7 million dollars and donated to the cancer sufferers. Today also it is known as Terry Fox Race in 60 countries. He was not only successful by donating a huge amount to the cancer sufferers, but he conquered his fear of ‘disability’ and he could deliberately defeat his disability.

To believe in yourself is a source of power and a reservoir of strength.

If you believe in yourself, you are harder than diamond, if not, you are more fragile than a water bubble.

If you believe in yourself, you grow stronger even when
your faith is tested by doubt,
your love is tested by separation,
your tenacity is tested by failure,
your concentration is tested by distraction
your perseverance is tested by obstacles
your patience is tested by delays,
your creativity is tested by criticism.

The wrong side of belief:- In our previous article, it was discussed that ‘Belief’ has the ‘dark’ side too. You have choice to have belief on dark side or on a brighter side. You believe certain things because others believed so, they did so, they followed so, your family did so, your village followed so – what not. Most of your beliefs are based on a tradition which was followed by others, with whom you are attached socially, traditionally, religiously, politically, geographically, emotionally, psychologically and may be many more reasons. In such cases you follow a belief (or faith) since it was followed by others and you think very little whether the belief is on wrong side or on right side. Some times, even if you realize that your belief is on wrong side you don’t like to set it on right side, because of various reasons. The reasons can be many, like the ego of accepting your own wrong belief and may be you have a blind belief. You may not like to break a tradition and hurt the feelings of others though you know that the belief is on a wrong side. Whatever may be the reason, many follow their beliefs without questioning and without any reason.

A note book contains many pages. Each page is an open page. It is upto you weather you use for scribbling or for writing beautiful poetry. Even if you have wasted already some pages for scribbling, still some more pages are there to write beautiful poetry. If, at least, some pages are filled with poetry, that note book is worth preserving. Your life is also like a note book. Life also contains many more open pages. It is upto you weather you fill the pages of life with some worthy ideas or with some worthless ideas. That means, it is upto you whether you fill your open pages of life with positive beliefs or with negative beliefs. The positive beliefs fill your life with prosperity and you will become a powerful person to serve the society too. And the negative beliefs fill your life with hate, greed, ego, narrow mindedness, inability to take risks and many more.
